Funeral Advisor (Freelance) — London
Turn your people-skills into work that genuinely matters. Fenix UK helps bereaved families plan dignified, affordable funerals — no experience needed, full training provided.
£140–£200+ per booking | Work from home | Part-time, weekday | No experience required
Turn your people-skills into a role that genuinely matters.
At Fenix UK, we help families arrange a dignified, affordable funeral for someone they've lost — combining smart technology with empathetic, capable consultants. Launched in 2020, we now operate in the UK's largest cities and are continuing to grow.
You don't need funeral industry experience. You need empathy, organisation, and the confidence to guide people through decisions with care. We'll teach you the rest — you will, however, be expected to learn quickly, as you'll be supporting families soon after training.
What you'll be doing
Supporting bereaved families to plan a funeral that fits their wishes and budget
Talking families through their options clearly and compassionately, and confirming their choices
Helping select the right products and services for their needs
Coordinating with suppliers and third parties to make arrangements happen
Managing the paperwork — accurately and on time
Finalising quotes, issuing invoices, and following up on payment
What we're looking for
A genuinely caring, compassionate approach
Strong communication and customer service instincts
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
A problem-solver who can handle objections calmly and find solutions
Comfortable working independently — you'll be self-directed, not micromanaged
Reasonably tech-savvy (you'll work across online platforms and admin tools)
A fast learner who picks up new processes quickly
You'll thrive in this role if you've worked in

Self-employment

(Full training is provided regardless of background - this is a guide not requirement)
What you get
Genuine flexibility — from home with flexibility of hours!
Real earning potential — £140–£200+ per booking
Full training and ongoing support from a team that has your back
Purposeful work — helping families through a moment that truly matters
Room to grow as Fenix UK continues to expand across the UK
The practical bit
Location: You must live in or be able to commute to Greater London — some families and suppliers will need to be met in person, alongside remote work from home
Availability: Flexible, part-time — but you'll need to be responsive when actively supporting a family
Engagement type: Freelance / self-employed — you'll manage your own tax and business admin (guidance provided)
This role isn't the right fit if you:
Are a full-time student
Already work full-time elsewhere
Are based outside the UK, or unable to commute to Greater London
